Think with me for a second about the people of the world who happen to live in a village or neighborhood with a missionary.

Of all the people in the world, God has seen fit for them to place in their midst someone whose mission in life is to be a gospel light shiner, a good news truth speaker, a witness to the perfect and eternal Savior, Jesus Christ.  What a blessing!  Regardless of the situation before the missionary was there, now there is no doubt that these people have access to the gospel – a message that the Bible says is the power of salvation for all who believe.

Do you see the value of this?  Most likely, the majority of the people of the world, or at least a vast percentage of them, do not have on their home street or in their village a single person to share with them the truth of who Jesus is or why He came, died, and rose again.  But for these people, they have someone within walking distance of their home who knows the Truth.

I am thinking of people like Jimmy of Aronales, a small village near Cordova, Peru.  Even though there wasn’t a single believer in his village, God blessed him with putting a man like Eric Turner and a team of college students with the light of the Gospel in nearby Cordova.  This missions team was looking for opportunities to share, and God led them to Jimmy, and now Jimmy is our brother, and everyone else in Aronales now has a believer living in their midst.

The people in Cordova and Aronales are indeed blessed among the peoples of the world.

But wait a second . . . Couldn’t we say the exact same thing about the people of your neighborhood, if you are one of Christ’s followers?
